Primary School (Grades 1–4)
First steps toward a love of learning
STEAM • JuniorIn the primary school at STEAM School Almaty, we create an environment where learning means curiosity and discovery:
- Core focus on reading, mathematics, science, and languages.
- Lessons are conducted in a playful, exploratory format.
- A special place for English (Science, Math, Academic English), as well as chess, robotics, dance, and art studio.
- We develop communication, teamwork, and independent problem-solving.

A School Where Every Child Belongs
STEAM School-Lyceum builds an environment of friendship, acceptance, and equal opportunities.
Every child has the right to be included
Inclusion is part of our philosophy, not a project. Every child feels significant and respected.
International Recognition
The school is recognized by IFIP and joined the global community of inclusive schools.
Remaking Recess
Connie Kasari’s methodology helps children befriend and play together during recess.
Remaking Recess — part of a holistic program
This is the core of our philosophy: social skills at recess transfer into lessons.
- Involvement of all children, including students with ASD, ADHD, and other differences.
- Support of teachers and tutors as facilitators.
- Building a culture of acceptance without isolation or bullying.
STEAM School-Lyceum is a place where inclusion is embedded in philosophy and practice. Through Remaking Recess we create a community of equal opportunities.
